This is the gourmet centre of France, every meal a real treat. Our holiday area stretches in the south from vineyards of the Beaujolais, through the plateau and lakes of La Dombres, across the Plain of Bresse, home to the well fed 'Appellation Controlee' chickens and ancient farmhouses with their overhanging eaves and unique Sarassen chimneys, into the vineyards of Burgundy. The Voie Verte (green path), a dedicated cycleway stretches from Macon to Nuits St George using a converted rail line which cuts through hills making cycling an extremely pleasant, peaceful experience through lush, green country. This is home of the legendary grape varieties, Pinot Noir, Gamay, Chardonnay and Aligote
