Over several decades we have noticed that our holidayers need, want and desire a particular style of holiday. Things and tastes change. So here are a few of the ideas we find work particularly well for 'softies' who want to get the most out of their first visit to France, or their many, many happy returns.

Group Cycling tour
While a core part of our thinking has always been independence from a group schedule, we find that more 'singles' enjoy the dynamics and fun of joining in, getting to know new people and sharing the passion for French cuisine and culture. So each year we put together a special group tour, with no single supplement, lead by one of our expert assistants. In 2010 our Group Holiday is in the Loire for one week starting on 31st July.

Family cycling
It's different, it's exciting, it's inclusive, it gives the kids a great cultural experience and you (the parents or grandparents) time to relax and enjoy the holiday too. Because it's active it's a lot healthier than visiting resorts or theme parks, or battling time in the car "are we there yet?" The adventure takes them new places each day, lets them experience another culture, history and new foods, and the exercise means a good sleep each night. We have kids' bikes, trail-along bikes that are joined to the parent's bike for the younger ones, and rear mounted seats too for the tiny tots. It's a holiday they'll remember all their lives...

Mature nomads
If you've been thinking about buying a Winnebago and heading out on the road to enjoy some "me time" at last, then we can guarantee your coming on a 'Cycling for Softies' tour will be more fun, less stressful and a whole lot more economical. And eco friendly too. Many of our 'softies' are retired, or close to, and enjoying themselves, or stepping back a bit from day-to-day business involvement, and there's no better way to stop and smell the lavender and the wine than via a visit through rural France. We have 10 regions to chose from so you could get quite and extensive wandering plan together.

Luxury & Short Stays
On the other hand young, active fit couples, and busy business people crave a little bit of work-life balance when they are attending a conference in Europe, or a business negotiation and would like to pamper themselves and a loved one to a special treat for a few days. We have chateau visits to pamper, super softie programmes and weekend getaways. Tell us what your programme is and where you've been in France, or would like to see, and we'll come back with a very interesting set of short stay options for you. Click here and send us the brief.
